No
$6-$12 depending on ingredients
We highly recommend this restaurant. We had a very tasty meal and the service was very good. The staff was conscientious and observant. Well done.
Nice decor Good foodAffordable prices
In all the years I've been ordering from Yen Ching this was my WORSE experience ever. Service was terrible. The food was fine, it always is. I have no idea why service was so poor, but that's the way it was. I haven't had poor service before but sometimes things happen. It'll be awhile before I order from them.
Sizzling rice soup is so good. And their egg rolls
We love Yen Ching's authentic Chinese food. It's a simple place with polite servers and delicious food. They have a small buffet on Sundays.
One of the places to eat in Peoria great food egg rolls wontons soups pork beef seafood dishes are great never had a bad meal good prices I will be back
A giant container of onions and peppers. Barely any chicken and chicken was inedible. Crab rangoon had no crab at all!!
Great food and lots of it!
Good but dishes were mostly peppers and onions.
Freshly made, amazing food! Friendly attentive staff and not an overwhelming space. Love it!!
So good! Biggest potstickers I've ever seen! Fast service and atmosphere is exactly what I wanted an old Chinese restaurant to look like.
Good food. Big portions and affordable prices.
So far everything we have got here has been delicious. Love the egg drop soup. My friend I picked up pork fried rice said it was the best he'd ever had. Can't wait to try more.
It was ok just didn't have the flavor I was looking for. The crab ragoon was trash my husband said the egg roll was better than his house rice.
Everything was bland, no flavor whatsoever
I have been having lunches, and an occasional dinner, here for years. Yen Ching is the standard for Chinese restaurants in the Peoria area. Somehow they have managed to keep up the quality over many years and several owners. The food is always the same, predictable, always fresh and very very good! As a bonus, the ambiance is nice enough for a casual date or business client lunch.
Not much flavor in sweet and sour pork
Absolutely amazing Chinese food, best around in my opinion.
Very nice lady on the phone but sorry to say the food was not good. Lo Mein was store bought noodles with ZERO seasoning....yes boiled noodles in water and that's all. Kung Pow chicken was almost as bland as the noodles. Not spicy or flavorful what so ever. Crab rangoon was a fried noodle with a lob of plain cream cheese stuffed inside. Not sure how they got such a high rating but it must be for their customer service cause its definitely not for the food.
Def had better but not to bad. Young man server was excellent. Prob go back but not in a rush.
Yen Ching always has good food and great service. Try the braised fish and sizzling rice soup. You won't be disappointed.
The food is good and the service is always fast and friendly.
We decided to try take out during our quarantine and I was craving Chinese. We ordered mongolian beef, shrimp and vegetables, sizzling rice soup and lo mein. Not one of us liked our dish. The dishes were EXTREMELY bland. The sizzling rice soup which is usually fabulous soup had some good ingredients but it was like the broth was water. It just seemed like these dishes were missing ingredients. Spices and peppers that they would normally have? Our first time here so not sure if they are just running out of items or if this is how the dishes normally taste. We will not try again.
This place is a very good place for takeout and inside dinning.
Awesome little place tucked away in the back of the shopping center. Quick and inexpensive lunch choices. Hot tea included with your meal. 2 people can eat lunch for under $15, tip included. They do close for a bit between lunch and dinner service, so be sure to check their hours if you're going mid-afternoon.
Came here because the rating was high. The restaurant is not up to date. Wasn't sure if I wanted to eat here at first due to its looks. The tea cup I had was dirty. Our waiter seemed like she was in a rush. She never came and checked how we were doing our refilled our cups. Delivery of the food was quick but not up to temp. My family and I did not care for the food.
The Crab Rangoons are so fresh and delicious. I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein and Beijing Beef and they both were amazing. The Beijing Beef has a nice kick too! Also be prepared to have leftovers, the portions are good sized.
Food could have been warmer. Otherwise good
Dinner tonight was wonderful!!
Best Chinese restaurant in peoria! The dinner for two is amazing feeds me and my girlfriend for two days!
I love this place.. Food excellent and very tasty .. Service friendly and prompt.. Prices r very reasonable.. Tell folks about the sizzling rice soup .
I have never had egg foo young like this and while it didn't taste horrible i do feel it was overpriced for what i got. Not impressed with the fried rice either.
Great spot! Adore the food. Even getting takeout is great! We’ll be back.
Best Chinese food in Peoria! Service is always fast and friendly. The middle aged lady that works tables always remembers exactly what we order! The younger guy that works tables is always so sweet and polite! If you haven't been here......GO! you will not be sorry!
I have gone here many times though the years, this is hands down my fav. Chinese food place. I can't speak to their seafood, but they make amazing beef and pork dishes. The service is always fast and nice and the free tea is amazing. They do serve sake the right way, warm in a teapot with hot water, good stuff.
After 40 years, it is still the best Chinese in Peoria. Interior needs a little refreshing, but food and service is excellent.
They have most of familiar dishes that you find at most places, and the portions were good.
Fresh food, friendly service, GREAT price. Best selection since moving here. I will happily be back!
Food is wonderful. Staff very sweet. Been eating here for years. We love it as a family. Cleanliness is pretty much what you expect for a Chinese restaurant.
Where has this been!!!?? It was delicious !! No msg, not a lot of oil. The prices are super cheap and great portion sizes. I will go again for sure!!
The food was quite good and was reasonably priced. Hot tea was included with the meal, and the crispy duck was excellent. While I enjoy Yummy Chen's in Macomb, I have fond nostalgia for the days when it was also a Yen Ching restaurant.
Ok food. Very friendly people. The traditional Chinese restaurant decor. The bamboo shoots were a little old. The mushrooms had no flavor. They clearly don't use any msg here.
Inexpensive, delicious, and reliable. My family has been coming here for over a decade. We love the pan-fried noodles and the mapo tofu for carry-out (they are quick and there's never a long wait), and the lunch buffet on Sundays. The buffet itself is relatively small, but everything they offer is delicious. I love the egg rolls, the soup, the noodles, the stir-fried shrimp, and the tofu. Try them all! The staff is attentive and friendly, and the prices really can't be beat.
Really great food large selection and nice and friendly staff
Food was cold and bland. Meat was tough and soup was hot but bland again. Crab ragoon was missing anything resembling crab. Very disappointed. Prices were reasonable for amount of food but I would gladly pay more for less quantity and much better quality. Will not return.
Highly recommend! This is one of the best Chinese food restaurants I've eaten at. I got plain fried rice with egg and it is excellent, cooked to perfection. The chicken with broccoli in Brown sauce was great, tender chicken and flavorful. The egg roles, best egg roles I've had, seriously one of the best egg roles I've had. The sweet and sour chicken was good, a little bland but overall good. Definitely recommend this restaurant, it's worth it.
Generous portions and the food isn't bad, but I found it to be somewhat bland. Fried rice is better at both Hokkaido and Thai Thyme. Singapore noodles was said to be spicy on the menu, but wasn't at all. Sushi Ko pretty much offers this dish, but with much more flavor. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Bathrooms here are best avoided.
Unbeknownst to me till recently, this place has been around for many moons. My friend who is a loyal, trusted reviewer of the best places for great Chinese food recommended this place. Very courteous and polite service. However, one must listen closely when the staff speak to you due to their accent, which after a couple visits I'm sure becomes easier to understand. On the upside, the food was absolutely delicious! While waiting for our to-go order we chatted with a couple faithful customers who had been coming here for years....always a positive indicator of good food. Highly reccomend!
My families favorite. Delicious dinning in or carrying out. Great price & really quick service of an excellent recipes created by this family owned little gem.
This was my first time at this restaurant. I have shrimp fried rice and crispy duck for take away. The food qas absolutely great. Not too oily or salty.
